As we all share files on various file servers, it can be useful to create shortcuts to specific shared folders, folders in your personal H drives or to websites.
Right‑click an empty area on your desktop.
Select New → Shortcut.
Enter the path to the program/file, or paste a website URL.
note: network paths to shared folders begin with \\ characters
Click Next, name it, and finish.
